I thoroughly enjoyed shooting in this location because of the over abundance of water. A rainy beach seemed to be the perfect setting for exhibiting water’s extensive relationship and consequence to an environment. I admire rough, unnatural textures and so the scarred concrete walls and rusted metal really appealed to me. Additionally, I feel when water coats a surface it gives the exterior a sort of electric exuberance, maybe just because its shinier.Thursday, November 02, 2006

Whenever I’m walking in the woods, no matter where I am, all I see are paths or optional directions to go. There are no roads or signs in nature, only instinct. I found a lot of footbridges during this trek, so it was an intriguing choice to try and express these unnatural subjects within the forest. I found their deserted, forgotten character to be mysterious and enchanting, just as most things in the forest.Short 3
Again, I’ve grown an acute fascination for the wear and tear of unnatural structure, only this time I’ve used the beachfront observation area as my setting. This particular location felt more dynamic than the previous ones and so I tried to incorporate that sporadic beach like nature of crashing waves into my editing and deliverance of the clips. Lastly again, I find the decaying textures of the environment to be especially pleasing to the eye.
